Student Health Center
Our mission is to promote the health and wellness of the university population by offering quality medical and psychological services to the students of Lamar University and Lamar Institute of Technology. The goal of the Student Health Center is to give you a same day appointment. If the volume of patients prevents this, you will be offered the first available opening that is appropriate for your visit.
The Student Health Center copay and no show fee has been increased to $10.00 as of August 2014. The Student Health Center Immunizations information page addresses common questions regarding the bacterial meningitis vaccination and Tuberculosis testing.
The Student Health Center will be closed December 22, 2014 thru January 4, 2015. We will reopen Monday, January 5 at 8am. If you need help during this time, our Community Resources link provides a partial list of medical and counseling resources. The Cardina lCare link offers a medical self care guide and a source for psychological self assessment.
Happy Holidays and have a great Winter Break!
