Student Health Center

Our mission is to promote the health and wellness of the university population by offering quality medical and psychological services to the students of Lamar University and Lamar Institute of Technology. The goal of the Student Health Center is to give you a same day appointment. If the volume of patients prevents this, you will be offered the first available opening that is appropriate for your visit.

The Student Health Center copay and no show fee has been increased to $10.00 as of August 2014. The Student Health Center  Immunization  information page addresses common questions regarding the bacterial meningitis vaccination and Tuberculosis testing.

Have you gotten your flu vaccine? It's not too late! It's National Influenza Vaccination Week.

Healthy young adults get the flu too. Find out how to protect yourself and your friends.

Call 409-880-8466 or come by the Student Health Center to schedule your injection. The shot is $30.00 and billed to your Lamar or LIT account. Staff, faculty and students are welcome. Students with the Academic Health Plan receive the flu shot at no cost.
